Welcome to this week’s edition of “Arcie’s Tarot-Scope,” by The OraCola. I’m Arcie Cola, and as always, I’m here to tell y’all what I think the Universe might have up its sleeve.

If you missed my first Tarot-Scope, including a brief explanation of how I read the cards, give this a click.

This week, I’m compelled to deal what I call The Harvest. It’s a simple 3 card spread, arranged however tickles your fancy. The first card is the Seed, the second card is the Sprout, and the third card is the Fruit. Let’s see what kind of garden we might tend this week…

Seed–The Tower

Sprout–The Magician

Fruit–The Wheel of Fortune

The seeds of change are under foot, so water the ground and cross your fingers!

As we draw our cards, think on this dandelion and remember to breathe.

What it all means:

Uh-oh! Right off the bat we see a card everybody loves to hate. The Tower gets a bad rap, for obvious reasons, but I choose to see it as a catalyst. Of course the catalyst can be cataclysmic, but when the dust settles you have the opportunity to rebuild something better.

The Tower is about tearing down the old to make way for the new. It signals a need to prepare the garden in order to plant another crop. It’s time to suck it up and do some hard work. Rip out those dead tomato vines from the summer and plant some leafy greens. ‘Tis the season!

Once those seeds germinate, we have an experienced hand on deck to nurture the sprouts. The Magician is nothing if not resourceful. He conjures incredible things from thin air, but there’s a lot of troubleshooting smarts behind that slick presentation. Think less Penn & Teller, and more Stephen Hawking.

Like a theoretical physicist, the Magician’s skillful use of arcane knowledge gives birth to new concepts. All that fancy math can build a rocket to Mars, but it can also create a deadlier kind of rocket. It’s all about intention, so unless you are a sociopath, aim for the greater good.

The old saying goes that we shall reap what we sow. If we take care of business and those greens grow like weeds, we are in for some salad days. If we are lazy, Mother Nature will send her minions to plunder our plot. Simple, right? Not necessarily! The Fruit of our labor is a turn at the Wheel of Fortune. C’mon big money!

Although generally a lucky card, the Wheel of Fortune can be fickle. Nothing is guaranteed, no matter how hard we work or prepare. It’s nice to get what we think we deserve, but sometimes we have to wait for our reward. What seems unfair in the present can turn out to be a blessing in the future, so don’t get discouraged by any unexpected frosts.

This week is a prime opportunity to till the soil and envision a new landscape. There are plenty of benefits to gardening, even if your harvest is less bountiful than you hoped. Whether it’s necessity or desire that prods you to pick up the hoe, remember to use some of the other tools in your shed. No need to make things hard on yourself!
