This Saturday, Knuckle Rumbler is hitting us with what may, perhaps, be their biggest stroke of genius to date. Their battle series at Scoot Inn has thus far featured Michael Jackson vs Prince and Biggie vs James Brown, but this weekend's matchup transcends all of those into a postmodern free-for-all that will melt, then refreeze your brain. Seriously. ICELANTA will see DJs Prince Klassen and DJ Orion match up that frigorific nymph from Iceland, Bjork, with those hot boys from Atlanta, Outkast, into a battle royale that not even the Atlantic Ocean can stop.

Besides what is surely going to be one of the hottest/coolest nights of music ever, KR is also going to be turning Scoot Inn into a winter wonderland with snow machines, Zen will be there with a truck full of yummies, and Under Pressure will be there if you want to get any holiday shopping done with their custom screen prints. If you want to avoid the cold altogether, you may want to check out HUMP! A classic Funk, Disco, and Boogie Jam party that is finding a new home at Social in the Warehouse District. The band, including DJs Paco & Resinthol (playing all-vinyl sets), El Cocinero on percussion, Reverend Pain on saxophone & Hosted by MC Tigre Liu (also of Afrofreque) will be there on Saturday night, bringing some serious funkiness to new and old fans, alike. They've been working hard to entertain Austinites for over four years now, so bring them a nice housewarming present-yourself.

The place opens up at 9pm so that JJ Lopez can play a special opening set that you won't want to miss. Arriving early also gets you free cover (then it's $3 after 11pm).
