Gogol Bordello Review

Gogol BordelloHoly Halloween weekend Bat town...Gogol Bordello played the last show on their US tour here in Austin at Stubb's BBQ Sunday, Nov1. The moon was full, half the crowd was still in costume, this was a full energy show and Stubb's was a great venue for it.  Gogol pulled it all out with a non-stop, up on your feet, no time to stop for breaks between songs, amazing set.  Fiddle, guitars, drums, acordian, cheer leaders, marching band this show was fantastic.  If you are not familar with Gogol's sound it is a mixture....

of Eastern European gypsy music, SKA and punk.  The music is all very well performed as everyone in the group is an accomplished musician.  Gogol combines excellent musical talent with action packed, full energy stage antics that leaves the exhaused audience yelling for more.  Check them out if you are not familiar with them and "start wearing purple"!  As for Stubb's outdoor stage, well this was a perfect venue in size and atmosphere for this show, it was the place to be on Nov 1.
