HOPE Farmers Market makes it's debut October 25
Written by Laurie Lyons

ImageThe HOPE campaign, which helps "bring artists and media get to places in need," came to Austin this May, and this Sunday they're kicking off their big project, a farmer's market and community space. Thanks to Graphic Glass Studios, the farmer's market has a home at Pine Street Station (414 Waller St), where visitors can find local farmers and prepared foods.

In addition to the market, this weekly convergence will serve as a community gathering space where "local farmers, artisans, community groups, families, and urband consumers can find fresh foods, community programs, artistic creations, agricultural education, and wellness workshops." Sounds exactly like the kind of thing Austin needs. The project is brought to the community by HOPE (Helping Other People Everywhere) Campaign, Daily Juice, Big Red Sun, Cafe Mundi, and others as "a platform to introduce local artists and Austin residents to surrounding area farms, healthy lifestyle companies, education in the arts and local community volunteer programs."

To help kick everything off, if you bring your own mug to the market this weekend, you'll get free coffee and a discount on a 100% Organic HOPE canvas bag (only $5!), as well as some great shopping. Learn more at hopecampaign.org. The market is open from 10am-3pm on Sundays.
