Dumpstaphunk, what started as Ivan Neville's side project in 2003, is now widely considered to be New Orleans’ most popular musical export. The band tours and you can see them perform at some of the nation’s largest music festivals such as Bonnaroo, Voodoo Fest, 10,000 Lakes, and High Sierra.
Blondie Chaplin of Rolling Stones fame, and has also played with The Band and The Beach Boys to name a few. His is widely known in the music business and has recorded with Jennifer Warnes, Bonnie Raitt, David Johansen, Elliott Murphy and The Band's Rick Danko. will be doing a special set with some of his friends. George Receli, Bob Dylan's drummer whose musical resume includes playing with greats like Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, Etta James, Hubert Sumlin, James Brown, Willie Nelson and Levon Helm will be playing drums in the band. Also , Stephen Barber, a composer, poet, and rock n roller, who resides in Austin and has collaborated throughout the years with music and film industry luminaries such as David Byrne, Keith Richards, Jennifer Warnes, Miguel Bose, Shelley Duvall will be on stage to entertain as well.
The Lee Boys, a 2008 ACL favorite, will be opening the show with their soulful gospel sounds. The Lee Boys are one of America’s finest African-American sacred steel ensembles. This family group consists of three brothers along with their three nephews who play a unique form of Gospel music with a hard-driving, blues-based beat and rock sounds.
This will be a night of funk and soul with so many legends in the business collaborating together for a massive celebration of musical madness like no other.
