Ballet Austin “Fête*ish”

Ballet Austin “Fête*ish”Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 9:00 pm.  10th floor of The Austonian, 200 Congress Avenue.

AUSTIN, TX—Ballet Austin today announces the titillating details of Fête*ish—their new and markedly bawdier companion event to Fête ’09 at The Austonian. The suggestively titled fundraiser event will take guests to the 10th floor of nearly completed residential tower for experiences described as ‘sassy, sultry, a little bit naughty and a lot spectacular.’
As guests arrive to The Austonian—either from Fête ’09 on the 33rd floor or from the rest of the city—they will enter a sumptuous soiree meant to indulge the senses with entertainment, libations, views, and surprises sure to delight. In amongst the savory and sweet culinary indulgences, specialty cocktails from Twin Liquors, and a “Fashion Fetish Salon” by Neiman Marcus, participants will be treated to a thrilling variety show cabaret featuring Mandy Lauderdale, Austin’s best burlesque-improv talent, and more.

DJ Johnny Bravvo will spin on the terrace for dancing as street performers and selection of avant-guard talent mingle among the guests. For those who purchase “Fancy Pants Fete*ish” tickets, there will even be The MINI-bar VIP lounge by Mini Cooper of Austin. Fête*ish begins at 9 p.m. and is offered as a separate ticket for those not attending the Fête dinner.

What is a “Fête*ish”? Something you dream about? Something you indulge in? Something you crave or desire? At Ballet Austin, Fête*ish will be the spectacular beginning to an elegant end. It’s the scratch on a record, the tickle of your fancy, a wink and a nod to things you want, but maybe shouldn’t. But on September 12, you definitely should.”
