ZACH Theatre is proud to announce their First Annual Kickball Tournament Fundraiser to be held at the Butler Shores Softball Field on August 22 and 23! This is a unique fundraising event intended to involve the Austin community on a deeper and interactive level. . All proceeds generated from the tournament will go to support ZACH’s outstanding artistic and educational programs and help ZACH continue to provide the Austin Community with opportunities to experience the excitement and transformation of live theatre.
Celebrating the end of summer, the premise of ZACH’s Kickball Tournament is to provide a weekend of competitive fun, creative awards, local music, and community energy in Austin. The event encourages all Austinites, ages 21 and up, to rally 9-12 of their closest friends, family members, or colleagues and form a team to compete. Each team must raise at least $1000 in order to play (approximately $100 per person). Teams from the community will also be organized by individuals that contribute $100 or more but are unable to form a large team. Our goal is to raise at least $10,000 by end of ZACH’s fiscal year through this event
After the Saturday games, all kickball participants and fans will be able to enjoy an evening filled with drinks and the musical talents of local Austin musicians in the Whisenhunt Theatre, During the live concert, awards and special prizes will be given to honor each of the 9-12 players of teams with the most runs in a game, that raised the most money, the most spirited, and with the best team theme.
ZACH is the oldest resident theatre in Texas whose history as the creative epicenter of Austin began with its formation in 1933 as the Austin Civic Theatre. Today, ZACH is a fully professional Equity theatre that produces plays and musicals that reflect the vitality and diversity of Austin and garner local accolades and national attention. This fundraiser offers a unique opportunity to be the first involved in what will soon be among the signature, annual highlights in supporting Austin’s theatre district.
