If you are in the mood for some Halloween fun but your taste is not necessarily for gore and guts on display, Austin Shakespeare is performing scenes from some of Shakespeare’s more eerie plays.  Experience the great playwright’s imagination: eerie ghosts, monsters, and fairies abound in this Halloween weekend treat at Richard Garriott’s Curtain Theater, an outdoor replica of an Elizabethan theater on his vast estate.  

Richard Garriott’s legendary estate in northwest Austin comes to life this Halloween season with two truly unique events: one that awakens a legendary haunted house for a good cause and one with appearances of fairies and witches and the Ghost of Hamlet’s father from Shakespeare’s eeriest masterpieces.

This Halloween season, The Mansion of Terror is opening two new Haunted House Attractions at its North Austin location. By also teaming up with local Non–profits, the Austin institution will help spread the word about volunteering and giving back to the community in Central Texas. The Mansion of Terror Haunted House is back with a vengeance for it’s sixth season in Central Texas and is currently rated #1 in the country by Lionsgate Films (SAW, GAMER, A HAUNTING) and was selected as a Top 8 Haunted House in the US by The Travel Channel.

One of America’s scariest Halloween attractions” (The Travel Channel) returns September 17 through November 1 with bigger, scarier, more immersive thrills for students, prudents, and everyone in between.

Now open at its permanent location at the northwest corner of Highland Mall on weekends through October 15 and daily through November 1.
