The thing is, just about everyone who visits here quickly catches the same vibe. So it’s not that we’re crazy or anything.
It could be something magical in the air—lore has it that indigenous native groups considered this area a safe zone from any war or conflict, something to do with all the natural cold springs that bubble from the earth forming a lush oasis amidst the Texas landscape. Or it could be the all-inclusive “no worries” attitude of folks around here—could rednecks, hippies, and computer geeks really have bonded so tightly anywhere else? Then again it might be something more tangible, like the ridiculously talented music scene, the astonishingly eclectic cuisine, the vibrant arts and culture…
