Become a mean, green, reading machine.

With recent times looking a little glum, a penny here and a penny there might have the potential to go a long way. Unplug yourself from modern technology and throw caution to the wind by diving into the hidden world of bargained priced books. Help keeping the Austin community hooked on reading is the grand opening of Austin’s latest bookstore, Recycled Reads, which opened on February 28, with much literary fanfare, family fun, and live music, including Austin roots rock icon Jon Dee Graham.

Toolbox for Sustainable City Living

Toolbox for Sustainable City LivingResourceful how-to book offers examples of sustainability in action.

It should be pretty clear by now that “going green” is not a fad. Some people are further along than others in the shift toward sustainable living, but we know for certain that, far from going away, it is something we must collectively get better at. It’s collaborative at a deeper level than that,” says bassist Harold McMillan, who started the word/jazz project in 2000.

Resurrecting Randi
To move forward, one man has to look back.

It always has to be about some girl that changes everything in a man’s life, doesn’t it? This time, this particular girl might be a little off her rocker. Okay, maybe a lot off her rocker.

Meet Travis Harrison. Pragmatic. Schedule driven. Borderline boring. Vulnerable. Travis has been carrying emotional baggage since becoming a victim of not one, but two tragedies in the past 20 years of his life. Cue Layla Sommers. Irrational. Spontaneous. Borderline psychotic. Vulnerable and, like Travis, a victim of circumstance.
