Ofrenda exhibit open for community to pariticpate.
The Mexic-Arte Museum hosted its 25th annual Día de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration and procession in Austin November 1. Every year, the Austin community is invited to participate in creating their own ofrenda (altar) in memory of family and friends. The exhibit will also include both traditional and contemporary altars dedicated to various public figures, including political activists and musicians. |
