This Truly Austin experience started over forty year's ago by
University of Texas student Lloyd W. Birdwell, Jr. to honor Winnie the Pooh's friend Eeyore.
Saturday, April 30 - Eeyore's Birthday transforms Pease Park into a celebration for adults
and children with costume contests, games, prizes donated by area
businesses, live music, food, drinks, drumming, dancing,
and the
opportunity to share the joy of being in Austin on a beautiful Texas day. |

This coming Sat. April 23rd there will be a fundraiser at Threadgills World Headquarters for the Texas School for the Blind from 11am to 10pm. Many great bands are slated to play including: The Resentments, Vallejo, Karen Poston and the Crystal Pistols, Bigamy Sisters, and more. Great kids' activities from 11 a.m. to 1, and, of course, you're at Threadgill's. The best part is that by coming and participating, you will be helping visually impaired and blind students from all around Texas to have access to the wonderful fine arts opportunities at TSBVI--art, drama, music. We need your support! Thanks so much. |
