Rania Benhammou, M.D.,F.A.A.P.

Originally from South of France, Dr. Benhammou completed medical school and residency in Algeria. She was an M.D. attending at the Children’s Hospital and for the Public Health District. Additionally she received certification in allergy and immunology from the Lariboisiere St. Louis Hospital in Paris. Despite being an accomplished pediatrician in France, when she moved to the USA , she chose to do another pediatric residency in order to practice in this country. She has been practicing in the Austin area since completing her pediatrics residency at Children’s Hospital of Austin in 2006. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Benhammou has done volunteer work for diabetes camps in Austin and at orphanages in Algeria. She is fluent in French and English and speaks some Arabic. Her professional interests are primary care, continuity of care and family education. She enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
